What do I get today?
IXEL is in beta. A free account gets everything we ship while we build. Paid plans open after the beta: leave your email at the bottom of the page to hear first.
How does included AI usage work?
Paid plans include usage of IXEL 1.0 Flash, IXEL’s own AI model, with nothing to set up. Base includes the standard amount; Pro includes twice that, and Ultra five or twenty times. Usage limits reset every 5 hours and every week, and IXEL shows how much of each you’ve used as a percentage. If you reach a limit, you can wait for it to reset or carry on with an AI account of your own.
How does AI usage work on Team and Enterprise?
Team includes five times the standard amount per seat, and Enterprise ten times. It’s shared by everyone in your organisation, and admins can allocate it per member. There are no special seat types: every seat is the same.
Does IXEL 1.0 Flash count as one of my AI accounts?
No. IXEL 1.0 Flash is built in and never counts toward your own AI accounts. Base, for example, has IXEL 1.0 Flash plus 2 Claude or ChatGPT accounts of your own.
Can I use my own Claude or ChatGPT account?
Yes, on every plan. Connect your Claude and ChatGPT (Codex) subscriptions to IXEL Harness: 2 on Free and Base, as many as you like on Pro and up. When one account hits its limit, IXEL moves to another.
Do agents count as seats?
No. Agents never count as seats, however many you run. Pro and up also include Always-on agents, which keep working on IXEL’s servers when your laptop’s closed: 1 at once on Pro, 2 on Ultra, 4 on Ultra Max, and 2 or 3 per seat on Team and Enterprise. Always-on agents use your included IXEL AI usage or your own API keys; your Claude and ChatGPT accounts work on your own computers.
Why does every plan include Mesh, Harness and Remote?
They’re built to work together, so one plan covers all three.
Which plans include the other IXEL apps?
CodeRepo, Stories, Knowledge and CodeGraph come with every plan, Free included, with smaller limits on Free. IXEL Drive starts on Base. They arrive after the beta.
Does IXEL see my traffic?
No. Your devices connect directly, end-to-end encrypted. IXEL only introduces them.
Is there a free trial?
When paid plans launch, a free account gets a 14-day trial of Base the first time it hits a limit.
What currency are prices in?
US dollars, before tax.
How does CodeRepo storage work?
Every plan has unlimited repositories, and storage is shared by all of them: 10 GB on Free, 25 GB on Base, 50 GB on Pro, 100 GB on Ultra, and 100 GB per seat, pooled, on Team and Enterprise. Any paid plan can add more for $1 a month per 10 GB.
How does IXEL Drive storage work?
Base includes 100 GB, Pro 250 GB and Ultra 500 GB. On Team and Enterprise, each seat adds 500 GB to one pool for the whole account. Add more in 100 GB blocks for $10 a month each. Each month you can download three times your storage, so 300 GB on Base; more is $0.05 per GB.
Is the cloud part of a plan?
No. IXEL Public Cloud and Private Cloud are add-ons any plan can use, billed by use, separately from your plan.
What if a payment fails?
Your account moves to the Free plan’s limits straight away, until the payment goes through.
What’s the family member?
On Ultra, you can add one member of your family at no charge. They share every limit on your plan, including AI usage. You choose, device by device, which of your devices they can use.
How do seats and devices work?
Each Team or Enterprise seat adds 30 devices to one shared pool. Team starts at 5 seats, Enterprise at 10.
What’s a service account?
An account your organisation owns, for servers and automation. It uses devices from your pool but doesn’t add to it. Team includes 3 and Enterprise 10; more are $20 or $35 a month each.
What happens to a Free account I don’t use?
After 30 days without use, it goes dormant. After 90 days, it’s deleted. We email you before both.
