Privacy notice
Last updated 20 October 2026. This notice covers the ixel.ai website, its documentation, the IXEL launch mailing list, and IXEL’s first-party analytics.
The short version
If you sign up for launch updates, we keep your email address so we can tell you about IXEL. Everyone’s visits are counted anonymously. Depending on where you are, more detailed analytics either waits for your agreement or is on until you turn it off. We don't sell any of it, and you can have it removed whenever you like.
What we collect
Mailing list
When you sign up, we store your email address, the date and time you signed up, and that you signed up on ixel.ai. We do not store your IP address with your sign-up.
To stop automated abuse of the sign-up form, we briefly keep a one-way, salted fingerprint of the address your request came from. It can't be turned back into your IP address, isn't linked to your email, and is deleted after one hour.
Browsing the site
The website uses no third-party trackers, scripts or cookies. It counts visits anonymously for everyone, and uses IXEL’s own analytics as described in Analytics and recordings. Like any web server, ours records standard access logs (such as IP address, page requested and browser type) for security and operations, and keeps them for a limited time.
Analytics and recordings
We use first-party analytics to see how IXEL is used and where it’s confusing, to improve it, and to keep it secure. It is IXEL’s own system, IXEL Insights, running on IXEL’s own servers in the United States: no third-party analytics service, script or cookie is involved, and we never sell this data or share it with third parties. There are three levels.
1. Anonymous counts, for everyone
For every visit we add to daily totals: how often each page is viewed, how often each button or link is clicked, how many errors and failed requests there were, how fast pages load (in ranges, such as “1 to 2.5 seconds”), and docs searches that found nothing (cleaned, see below). Each total is broken down by coarse details: country, device type (phone, tablet or computer), operating system and browser with their major versions, language, time zone (to the half hour), screen size (rounded), light or dark mode, connection type, the site that linked to us (its name only) and campaign tags. These counts set no cookie, store nothing on your device, carry no id of you or your browser, and identify no one: your IP address is used only to look up the country and is then forgotten. Because they identify no one, we keep them without asking (our legitimate interest in running and measuring our site; in the EU and UK this is the audience measurement that needs no consent). We keep the totals indefinitely.
2. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: only if you agree
If you visit from these countries (or we can’t tell where you are), we ask first, in a banner. Until you choose “Accept all” or turn on a choice, nothing but the anonymous counts is collected. You can choose analytics and product improvement (recordings) separately.
3. Everywhere else: on, until you turn it off
Elsewhere, analytics and product improvement are on from your first visit, with a short notice, and you can turn them off at any time from Cookie settings.
What analytics records
Which pages you visit, what you click, how far you scroll, links you follow out of the site, code you copy, downloads you start, what you search for in the docs and how many results it found, your answer to “Was this page helpful?”, page speed, and errors in the page. With it we store: your IP address; the location derived from it, at city level (country, region, city, postal code where known, coordinates rounded to about 10 km, and your network provider), never your device’s precise location; your browser’s user agent and the coarse details listed above; two random ids, one for your browser and one for the visit; and, if you’re signed in to IXEL, a link to your IXEL account, so we can see an account’s visits and help with support.
Product improvement (recordings)
With product improvement on, the page is rebuilt from the steps you took: how its content changed, where you clicked and scrolled. There is no video and no screenshot. Everything you type is hidden (we only see that a field was filled in, as dots), password fields aren’t recorded at all, and images, video and anything marked private appear as empty boxes.
What we never collect
Nothing you type, and nothing you store in IXEL: no file names or contents, device or project names, messages, or agent conversations. Docs searches and error messages are cleaned before they leave your browser, and again on our server: anything that looks like an email address, phone number, long number, key, token or file path is removed.
Cookies
ixel_consent remembers your choice (or, where analytics is on by default, that it is) and when, for 12 months, after which we ask again. ixel_aid holds your browser’s random id; it’s only set while analytics is on, and it’s deleted when you turn it off. Both are first-party cookies for ixel.ai and its subdomains (such as the IXEL Dashboard), so you’re asked once. While analytics is on, events waiting to be sent are kept briefly in your browser’s storage. The anonymous counts use no cookie.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we treat it as “no” wherever you are: only the anonymous counts, and no banner or notice. You can still turn analytics on yourself from Cookie settings.
Why, and on what basis
We use analytics and recordings to understand how IXEL is used, to improve it, and for security (such as spotting abuse). In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland we rely on your consent; elsewhere, on our legitimate interest in improving and securing our service, and you can object at any time by turning it off.
How long we keep it
Analytics events, including IP address and location, are kept for 25 months; recordings for 90 days; the anonymous totals indefinitely.
Your choices and rights
Change your mind at any time with (also at the foot of every page): turning analytics off stops it at once, deletes what’s waiting in your browser and the browser id, and asks our server to erase everything recorded for that id. You can also ask us at privacy@ixel.ai to see, correct, export or delete your data, or to stop using it; if you’re signed in, we can erase everything linked to your account. If you’re in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Why we use it
We use your email address only to send you news about IXEL launches and products, because you asked us to. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Where it's kept
Sign-ups are stored securely on our servers in the United States. When we start sending email, we may use an email delivery service to do so; it will only process your address to deliver our emails.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it, or until we stop sending launch updates.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Every email we send will include a link to unsubscribe. You can also contact us at privacy@ixel.ai and we'll act on your request. If you're in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
