Device tools

Open a device in Devices to see its page. At the top is its overview: system, processor, memory, disks, uptime and IXEL One’s version. Below are its tools. They work the same on every computer, including servers without a screen.

The tools run on the device itself. Only your own devices reach them, over your private network.

Browse the device’s files and folders. You can:

  • preview a file and save it to this computer;
  • add files from this computer;
  • rename, make a new folder, and move things to the trash.

See every process on the device, with its CPU, memory and disk use. Sort the list, and choose End Task to stop a process (or Force End).

Performance shows graphs of CPU, memory, disk and network for the last minute.

Open a shell on the device: your usual shell, or PowerShell on Windows. Open as many as you like, in tabs.

Open the device’s screen and control it. Use it when the other tools aren’t enough. See Screens.

More tools are on the way: logs, packages, ports, power, startup apps and services.
