Sign in

Every device signs in with your IXEL account. Your devices find each other through it. Don’t have an account? Create one for free.

In the app

1. Open IXEL One and choose Sign In….
2. IXEL One shows a short code and opens your browser at auth.ixel.ai.
3. Sign in, check that the page shows the same code, and confirm.

The computer joins your devices and connects. If the browser didn’t open, open the link IXEL One shows on any device.

From the command line

ixel up

ixel up prints a link and a code, and a QR code:

To sign in to IXEL on this computer, open

    https://auth.ixel.ai/device

and confirm the code ABCD-EFGH

Open the link on any device, or scan the QR code with your phone. Sign in and confirm the code. See Add a computer for servers.

Check who you are

ixel whoami

Sign out

In the app, open Settings and choose Sign Out of IXEL…. From the command line:

ixel logout

Signing out removes this computer from your devices. Your other devices can no longer reach it.

Note

Each device makes its own keys the first time it runs. The private key never leaves the device. IXEL only gets the public key.
